Walnut stole the words from right out of my mouth. The brushes or textures are getting in the way of your overall shapes/designs. They are busy all around. I would suggest that you pick and choose which areas you want to have sharp or lost. basically control your edges which will control where you want the focus to be. There is big potential here and I like them a lot.
